§ Mr. Thurnhamasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what recent representations he has received about Her Majesty's Government's crime prevention initiatives; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. Douglas HoggWe receive a steady flow of correspondence about our crime prevention initiatives, which demonstrates a high level of public interest. My hon. Friend's letter of 13 April is one example. That letter proposed the early promulgation of results of our local crime prevention project in Bolton and that the lessons learnt should be put into practice promptly. I welcome my hon. Friend's continued support for this project and shall write to him shortly.
