HL Deb 27 April 1987 vol 486 c1352WA
Baroness Robson of Kiddington

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether, on her recent visit to Moscow, the Prime Minister took the opportunity to ask for information on the fate of Mr. Raoul Wallenberg.

Baroness Young

No. This matter did not come up in my right honourable friend's discussions. We hope that the path of greater openness upon which Mr. Gorbachev has embarked will eventually make it easier for the Soviet authorities to respond to the Swedish Government's requests for more information about Mr. Wallenberg's fate.
