asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they will place in the Library a copy of the decision of the Law Officers in 1855 and of other documents which empower the Crown Estate Paving Commission to levy rates on Crown residents without representation.

The powers of the Crown Estate Paving Commissioners to levy rates are contained in the Acts of Parliament listed below, copies of which should be available in the Library. A copy of the Law Officers' Opinion of 1855 has been placed in the Library.
