§ 42. Mr. Dixonasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what steps he is taking to improve the shore side infrastructure of the fishing industry.
§ Mr. GummerResponsibility for harbour infrastructure rests with individual harbour authorities. However grants towards harbour improvements, of benefit to the fishing industry, are available under the provisions of section 2 of the Fisheries Act 1955.
Community assistance is also available for marketing and processing in the fisheries sector and for improved port facilities under Regulations EC/355/77 and EC/ 4028/86 respectively.
