§ Mr. BrookeI refer my hon. Friend to the answer given to my hon. Friend the Member for Norfolk, North (Mr. Howell) on 22 April, at columns577–78. The latest available figures for the United Kingdom's net contribution to the Community budget for the period 1 January 1973 to 31 December 1986 is £7,772 million. This represents an average net payment of £1.52 million a day since accession.
