§ Mr. WaddingtonThe available information relates to the number of Nigerian citizens arriving at Heathrow airport who were removed, after being refused entry, in the months of September 1986 to January 1987 inclusive and of those the number who had a work permit or entry clearance. Visitors and students cannot be separately identified in these figures. Citizens of Nigeria were not subject to an overall requirement to obtain entry clearance before travelling to the United Kingdom until 1 February 1987.
