§ Mr. TrippierIn preparing regulations under the Health and Safety at Work, etc. Act 1974, it is for the Health and Safety Commission (HSC) in each case to consider whether it would be appropriate to adopt the first part of this recommendation, or to legislate for safe engineering practice in some other way. When consulting on proposals for regulations which might include such requirements, it is the HSC's practice to include the Engineering Council among those consulted.
