§ Mr. Peter BottomleyYes. A top priority on taking over these roads was to review their safety record. Our current programme will put in remedial schemes at the rate of two a week right across the London trunk road network throughout the coming year. This is part of our expanding programme of low-cost accident prevention measures which will pay high dividends in terms of lives saved.
