§ Mrs. Renée Shortasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will instruct all prison officers that in all circumstances any prisoner asking to see a doctor should be able to do so.
§ Mr. MellorPrison rules require that every request by a prisoner to see the medical officer shall be recorded by the officer to whom it is made and promptly passed on to the medical officer. There is no reason to think that prison staff need to be reminded of the requirement.
