§ Mr. Heddleasked the Lord Privy Seal what representations he has made to the suppliers of the House of Commons self-adhesive envelopes about the non-adhesiveness of those envelopes currently supplied to the Serjeant at Arms Department.
§ Mr. BiffenA number of examples have been found in a batch of self seal envelopes code number 23(146)S where the adhesive on the top flap has been inadequate. HMSO was asked to pursue the matter with the manufacturer as soon as it came to light in February, and arrangements have recently been made for the remainder of the batch to be withdrawn from the Serjeant at Arms Stores. HMSO did check samples before delivery but has been asked to carry out a more extensive check in future.
