§ Mr. Tony Banksasked the Secretary of State for the Environment when he now intends to issue a direction to the London Residuary Body under section 65 of the Local Government Act 1985 to dispose of Thamesmead to Thamesmead Town.
§ Mr. John PattenIt remains our intention that the future of Thamesmead be settled as soon as possible, in the interests of all the residents and of the board and staff of Thamesmead Town. We are studying the observations made by the courts on 27 and 30 March, in dismissing the applications before them for judicial review, before deciding on next steps.
