§ Mr. Douglas HoggThe research and planning unit and the crime prevention unit of the Home Office both carry out substantial programmes of research in this area. Current studies include work on neighbourhood and crime, inner-city housing estates and community594W involvement in crime prevention. The 1986–87 programme of the research and planning unit is in the Library and the 1987–88 programme will be published in June this year.
