§ Mr. Tony Banksasked the Secretary of State for the Environment (1) what were the total capital allocations in each of the five service blocks in 1985–86 for (a) all London boroughs; (b) the City of London (c) the Greater London council, (d) the Inner London education authority, (e) the Metropolitan police and (f) the whole of Greater London;
(2) what were the total allocations in each of the five service blocks in 1986–87 and 1987–88 for (a) all London boroughs, (b) the City of London, (c) the London Fire and Civil Defence Authority, (d) the waste regulation authorities, (e) the Inner London education authority, (f) the Metropolitan police and (g) the whole of Greater London.
§ Mr. ChopeThe information requested is in respect of capital allocations issued to date on the five service blocks which make up the DOE/LAI cash limit. The figures for 1985–86 for the other services block include £10,591,000 supplementary allocations issued to authorities which complied with the Secretary of State's request for restraint on capital expenditure in 1984–85. The Metropolitan police do not receive capital expenditure allocations under the Local Government, Planning and Land Act 1980 since their expenditure is separately controlled by the Home Office.
