HC Deb 01 April 1987 vol 113 c557W
Mr. Dykes

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will initiate discussions with representatives of local authorities' planning departments on changes in planning legislation to provide for applications for planning permission for the demolition of unlisted dwellings as well as for the erection of new dwellings.

Mr. Tracey

My right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for the Environment has no evidence to suggest that there is a significant problem which would be remedied by such an extension of planning control.
