§ Mr. Lathamasked the Secretary of State for the Environment on how many occasions during 1986 his Department has issued directions under article 10 of the General Development Order preventing a local authority from determining a planning application; and in how many of those cases the direction has been followed by a call-in and a subsequent public inquiry.
§ Mr. TraceyTo date in 1986 the Department has issued 88 directions under article 10 of the General Development Order 1977; 34 applications have subsequently been called in and four have so far been to public inquiry.
