§ Mr. RentonWe welcome the substantial progress made at Reykjavik towards agreement on nuclear arms reductions and hope both sides will build on this in the negotiations in Geneva. The Government will continue to play a leading role in the search for balanced and verifiable agreements on nuclear, chemical and conventional arms. At the Vienna CSCE meeting, which starts in November, we will press for greater respect for human rights.
