As an indication of the extent of the commission's activity in Devon and Cornwall, last year 65 redundant building grants were awarded in the two counties (equivalent to 20 per cent. of the Development Commission's total); and 64,000 square feet of factory space was constructed on the Commission's behalf (equivalent to 14 per cent. of the total).
