§ 23. Mr. Neil Hamiltonasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what proposals he has to extend parental choice within the state school system.
§ Mr. DunnOur 1980 Act substantially increased parents' rights in school admissions and established the assisted places scheme. Our current Bill to increase parental influence over their children's schooling is a powerful extension of that choice. Additionally, my right hon. Friend has announced plans to establish a network of city technology colleges, to offer a further choice of school to the parents and children of our cities.
