§ Mr. TraceyThe estimated average unrebated weekly rent for local authority dwellings in England was £6.41 in April 1979 and £16.36 in April 1986. Estimates of average rate bills for local authority dwellings are not available, but they are believed to be somewhat lower than the averages for all domestic properties, which are £3.00 weekly for 1979–80 and £7.70 for 1986–87.
