§ Mr. Peter Bruinvelsasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what is his policy with regard to the provision of time off for trade union activities within the Civil Service, and in particular for the holding of workplace ballots.
§ Mr. BrookeReasonable requests for time off are allowed for trade union activities, including voting at the workplace in union elections, under the Civil Service national Whitley council agreement on facilities.
