HL Deb 22 October 1986 vol 481 cc429-30WA
Viscount Trenchard

asked Her Majesty's Government:

What arrangements he may have made for the 1986 review of the operation of the Prevention of Terrorism (Temporary Provisions) Act 1984.

The Minister of State, Home Office (The Earl of Caithness)

Sir Cyril Philips, who was appointed in 1985 to carry out the annual review of the prevention of terrorism legislation, has had to give up this work because of other commitments. I am glad to say that Viscount Colville of Culross has accepted my right honourable friend's invitation to carry out this annual review.
