§ Mr. Wareingasked the Chancellor of Exchequer what recent representations he has received concerning the effects on married women of proposals contained in the 912W Green Paper on personal taxation; what his response has been; and if he will make such representations available in the Library.
§ Mr. Norman LamontWe have received a wide-ranging response to the Green Paper and are now studying all the comments very carefully. As responses to the Green. Paper are regarded as confidential they will not be made available in the Library, but it is open to those who have commented to make public their own response, and I understand a number of organisations have already done so.
