§ Mr. Deakinsasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what provision exists within the European Economic Community budget arrangements for depreciating the value of agricultural commodities in store pending their disposal.
§ Mr. JoplingCouncil Regulation (EEC) No. 1883/78 enables the Commission subject to the views of Member States to depreciate the value of intervention stocks if their estimated selling price is below the book value. The 1986 Community budget provides 471 mecu for the depreciation of beef and butter in store.
