HL Deb 21 October 1986 vol 481 c261WA
Lord Kennet

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether it is their view that a new single "hub" coach terminal at the site of the existing Victoria coach terminal or elsewhere is to be preferred to a co-ordinated array of smaller terminals outside the very centre of London, and if so why.

The Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, Department of Transport (Lord Brabazon of Tara)

At the Government's request, LRT have been carrying out a study of current and future terminal requirements for long-distance coaches in London. They are now consulting interested parties on their findings so far, and will submit their final report to my right honourable friend, the Secretary of State for Transport, once that process has finished. The Government will then form a view on the most suitable way forward.
