§ Mr. Chris PattenIt cost £33,400 to produce the 1985 review. Despite rising costs generally and an increase in the number of pages, we kept production costs this year below the 1983 level.
Whilst keeping such costs carefully under control, we shall continue to provide through the annual review a comprehensive account of how our aid programme is spent. Publication of the review thus responds to a recommendation from the Foreign Affairs Select Committee in 1982 that the ODA should publish an annual report for wide circulation.
