§ Mrs. Clwydasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department (1) whether Her Majesty's Government's assurances to honourable Members that their telephone calls will not be tapped applies also to British Members of the European Parliament; and if he will make a statement.
(2) whether, in the case of an individual who has been the subject of telephone tapping and who is subsequently elected to the House of Commons, the records of such tappings are destroyed when the individual under surveillance becomes an honourable Member; and if he will make a statement.
