§ Mr. AncramSediments from the Dunfermline district coastline are sampled regularly as part of the marine monitoring programme conducted on behalf of the Scottish Development Department.
414WResults of this monitoring have been included since 1968 in reports in the series entitled "Radioactivity in Surface and Coastal Waters of the British Isles", published by MAFF and available in the Library. They confirm that the levels of radioactivity present in sediments in the Forth estuary are insignificant.
