§ Mr. Austin Mitchellasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he will publish in the Official Report a table showing for each year since 1970 the change in 342W percentage terms on the basis of 1980 prices of (a) company profits, (b) company taxation, (c) distributed profits, (d) undistributed profits and (e) investment in plant and machinery.
§ Mr. MacGregorThere are no price index numbers which are fully appropriate for revaluing the information requested at(a), (b), (c) and (d) at 1980 prices. Figures of investment in plant and machinery by broad sector at 1980 prices are given in table 10.2 of "United Kingdom National Accounts" which is available in the House of Commons Library.
