§ Mr. Robin Cookasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry if he intends to appoint inspectors to investigate the suspected insider dealing which preceded the bid by BTR for Pilkington on 20 November.
§ Mr. HowardIf and when I obtain information suggesting that insider dealing may have occurred, I shall take appropriate action, which might include appointing an inspector under section 177 of the Financial Services Act.
