§ 25. Mr. Sackvilleasked the Secretary of State for Energy whether he will list the opencast mining projects currently being considered by British Coal in Greater Manchester.
§ Mr. David HuntI understand that British Coal has applied for planning permission for Garnet and Lomax opencast sites in the Greater Manchester area. It has also applied for planning permission for a coal disposal point at Aldreds. Future applications are a matter, in the first instance, for British Coal.
