§ 61. Mr. Freudasked the Secretary of State for the Arts what arrangements exist to ensure that initiatives taken in the European Economic Community on library and information matters are made known to professional organisations in the United Kingdom; and what arrangements exist for consultations with these organisations on those matters.
§ Mr. LuceI am satisfied with the present arrangements for dealing with the European Commission's work on library and information matters. These involve two committees organised by my office, and both have representatives on them of all the major United Kingdom professional organisations concerned.
