§ Dr. McDonaldasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry if he will make a statement about plans by the Post Office to further rationalise or reduce its counter network.
§ Mr. PattieAlthough the Post Office keeps under review the size and shape of the counters network, I am not aware of any plans to rationalise or reduce the network apart from the programme that was announced in 1984 and is due to be completed next year.
