§ Mrs. CurrieThe Portsmouth and South East Hampshire Health authority is responsible for the inpatient treatment of drug misusers in south east Hampshire. They have a one-bed drug misuse unit. Most people admitted for drug misuse are however treated in general psychiatric wards, and not in beds specifically assigned for drug misusers. I understand that in 1985 there were two admissions to the drug dependency unit and 45 other admissions for drug dependence.
