Member refers was organised by theDefence and Foreign Affairs magazine and the International Strategic Studies Association, and I am not, therefore, aware of the list of those invited to attend. I understand that, in the event, one United Kingdom military officer attended and spoke in general terms on certain aspects of special operations.

§ Mr. FreemanNo cost of public funds was involved in holding the conference to which the hon. Member refers, beyond the expenses of the United Kingdom military officer who attended the conference. These amounted to about £45.
