§ Mr. Pavittasked the Prime Minister if she will arrange a transfer of resources for those with special housing needs from the Department of Health and Social Security to the 191W Department of the Environment housing budget in order that responsibility for a comprehensive housing policy could be within a single Department.
§ The Prime MinisterThe Secretary of State for the Environment already has a comprehensive responsibility for housing policy. There is full co-ordination of policies with the Department of Health and Social Security and other interested Departments. Transfers of resources between the two Departments are made as and when the need arises.
