§ Mr. TraceyResources for derelict land grant in England have increased from £23 million in 1979 to £83.4 million in 1986–87 and priority is now given to the reclamation of urban sites intended for private sector industrial, commercial or housing development. These account for over 60 per cent. of land reclaimed. My right hon. Friend has recently announced proposals for four further urban development corporations which will also make a substantial contribution to encourage development of derelict sites.
