Mr. John David Taylorasked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland, at the Newtownards vehicle inspection centre what is (i) the operating hours each day, (ii) the number of vehicles being tested each day and (iii) the present waiting list of vehicles requiring tests.
§ Mr. NeedhamThe information is as follows:
- (i) Operating hours for private car tests are 8.30 am to 1.00 pm and 1.30 pm to 4.55 pm Monday to Friday and for all other vehicles 8.45 am to 12.45 pm and 1.30 pm to 4.55 pm Monday to Friday.
58 - (ii) During October 1986 the average number of vehicles tested per day in the Newtownards centre was 93.
- (iii) The present waiting time from receipt of application to test appointment in the Newtownards Centre is three weeks for private cars and four weeks for all other vehicles.
