§ Mrs. RumboldNo decision has yet been taken. I have received, via the local authority associations, submissions from 18 English local education authorities. Under the education support grant arrangements, resources have been set aside to fund a pilot project. That project is scheduled to begin in January 1987. I am considering which of the 18 applicants to select to form the pilot. In reaching this decision, I will take into account the views expressed at the inaugural meeting of the national steering group, which was held on 5 November.
