§ Mr. David HuntExpenditure on research, development and demonstration in renewable sources of energy in my Department's programmes in 1985–86 is estimated to have been £15.3 million (including expenditure on wastes as a fuel and passive solar design under the energy efficiency demonstration scheme and £2.1 million contributed by external contractors).
