HC Deb 17 November 1986 vol 105 c40W
32. Mr. Willie W. Hamilton

asked the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster on what matters within his official responsibilities he does not propose to answer questions in this House.

Mr. Tebbit

It is not possible to produce a definitive list of questions which I might decline to answer, except on grounds of cost. However, I would not normally expect to answer questions which relate to confidential matters between the Duchy and its tenants, or those with whom it has dealings. I do not propose to answer detailed questions concerning my future engagements. Nor will I answer questions on that part of my official responsibilities which involves participation in the collective ministerial consideration of matters for which another Minister answers to Parliament.
