§ Mr. Tony Banksasked the Secretary of State for the Environment what is his latest assessment of the cost or saving per household in Greater London arising from the abolition of the Greater London council; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. ChopeSavings from abolition are at present measurable in terms of reductions of posts. Information on manpower and redundancies is currently being received and analysed. My right hon. Friend hopes to make a statement in due course.
