Of this amount, equipment costing £196,000 was stored, equipment costing £450,000 was sold during 1980–1983 to the Royal Marsden hospital, London chest hospital and Cardiff children's hospital, and equipment costing £1,196,000 has in the meantime been used elsewhere in the hospital.
