Member for Wokingham, as representing the Church Commissioners, what action the Church Commissioners have taken to follow up the recommendations made to them in the report of the Archbishop of Canterbury's advisory commission on urban priority areas entitled "Faith in the City".
§ Sir William van StraubenzeeThe Church Commissioners warmly welcomed the report "Faith in the City". They have provided the secretariat for the working group set up by the General Synod to establish the Church urban fund. Last week the General Synod gave general approval to legislation enabling the commissioners to make grants or loans to the fund.
