§ Mr. Wareingasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he intends to make an early statement on the pay and conditions of speech therapists in the National Health Service.
§ Mr. NewtonPay and conditions are a matter for Whitley negotiation. I understand that on 20 October a settlement was conluded which will be put into effect as soon as possible, backdated to 1 April 1986.
