§ Mr. McQuarrieasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will arrange an urgent meeting with the general secretary and officers of the Scottish Prison Officers Association to discuss the problems which are arising in several Scottish prisons.
§ Mr. LangMy officials keep in close touch with the SPOA and other constituents of the Scottish Prison Service Trade Union Side, on a regular basis. No request has been made for a meeting in respect of recent incidents in Scottish penal establishments, but I hope to meet representatives of the staff association before long.
