What has been the response of the European Community authorities to Soviet claims that the island of Gotland does not generate an exclusive zone of any kind; and
Whether they consider that the Swedish island of Gotland generates an exclusive fishery and/or economic zone of 200 nautical miles.
§ Baroness YoungThe question of the maritime boundary between Sweden (including Gotland) and the Soviet Union is one for the Swedish and Soviet governments. We understand that the two governments have been engaged in negotiations on the issue.
