HC Deb 06 November 1986 vol 103 cc498-9W
Mr. Marlow

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will publish his correspondence with Brent local education authority.

Mrs. Rumbold

It is not the Department's normal practice to publish correspondence with individual local education authorities. I will write to my hon. Friend.

Mr. Greenway

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what representations he has received concerning the effect upon the education of school children in Brent of the two-day strike by teachers in that borough; and if he will make a statement.

Mrs. Rumbold

My right hon. Friend has received no such representations. I am glad, in the interests of the children, that Brent council has decided to reinstate Miss McGoldrick, as it was asked to do by my right hon. Friend.
