HC Deb 04 November 1986 vol 103 c372W
Mr. Cartwright

asked the Secretary of State for Transport what information he has about the number of orange badges issued to people who are registered blind in (i) inner London, (ii) outer London, (iii) metropolitan districts, (iv) non-metropolitan counties in England, (v) Wales and (vi) Scotland.

Mr. Peter Bottomley

Information is not collected centrally in the form requested. In the light of details supplied by some local authorities it is estimated there are currently some 24,000 such badge holders throughout Britain.
