§ Mr. Peter BottomleyOur aim is to ensure that the network of motorways and trunk roads is adequate to meet current and future needs. These include the need to provide access to the Channel tunnel from all parts of the country. The current construction programme includes schemes to upgrade existing north-south routes and roads to the tunnel in Kent.
