asked the Secretary of State for Wales if any persons in Wales have received transfused blood contaminated with the acquired immune deficiency syndrome virus.

Since 14 October 1985 the National Blood Transfusion Service has screened all blood donations for antibody to the AIDS virus.

No cases of patients receiving transfusions of contaminated blood have been reported in Wales.
